Rakshak is an enterprise personal safety and emergency alert application developed by Transworld Technologies Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the application.

2. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: Employee name, email address, gender, shift timings, and enterprise Unit ID.

  • Location Information: GPS coordinates, approximate location, and timestamped location records for SOS alerts, shift safety tracking, and safe-arrival verification.

  • Emergency Contacts: Phone numbers provided by users to receive emergency SMS alerts.

  • Device Information: Android Secure ID, device model, and information required for device authentication.

  • Safety Records: SOS alerts, shift safety events, and related operational logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Send SOS alerts and emergency notifications to designated contacts and authorized safety teams.

  2. Support background location tracking when required safety features are enabled and permissions are granted.

  3. Verify shift safety activities and safe arrival using location and geofence information.

  4. Synchronize safety records with our enterprise backend servers.

  5. Maintain application security and functionality.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or monetization.

4. Location and SMS Permissions

Rakshak may access location data in the background when an SOS alert is triggered or Shift Safety tracking is enabled, subject to the permissions granted and the application's configured functionality.

The application may use the Android SEND_SMS permission to send emergency messages containing your name, alert time, and location details to your designated contacts. Rakshak does not use the READ_SMS permission to access incoming SMS messages.

You can manage app permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling required permissions may affect certain safety features.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be shared with:

  • Emergency Contacts: Relevant alert messages and location details during emergencies.

  • Enterprise Safety Teams: Safety records required for authorized monitoring and emergency response.

  • Service Providers and Legal Authorities: Where necessary to operate the service or comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Data Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for data transmission, restrict access to authorized personnel, and implement reasonable safeguards to protect personal and safety-related information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Safety records are retained for as long as necessary for operational, corporate safety, and audit requirements, subject to applicable law.

Users can update or remove emergency contacts through the Profile section. To request account deletion or removal of associated data, contact your corporate administrator or email support@twtech.in.

8. Children's Privacy

Rakshak is intended primarily for workforce and adult safety. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the revised "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
